No offense to our lizards both actively serving or retired, but when did this country last fight a war over or to protect our freedoms? In the years since 1945, when have we actively fought a war or a conflict against a foe that actually posed a credible threat to the US? We fought a “Cold War” with the Soviets, but it was “cold” because we never actively went to war. We fought a lot of conflicts that were over treaty obligations or because we were propping up a “pro-US” country, but the Soviets never actively engaged us in a shooting war.
