Obama was a naive man, accomplished little that hasn’t already been reversed, and just isn’t a good example of your argument. Hope was a fantasy, and change was a lie. He’ll be remembered as not up to the times, if he’s remembered at all.

Obama will be remembered as the last American President that personified the era of 20th Century Statesmanship. Replacing statesmanship and international institutions with their notions of formality, nuance, planning, and documentation is a new era of blowhard, off-the-cuff, handshake deals conducted by abjectly unapologetic con-men. The new technologies of Twitter and You Tube have created an environment where civility is just too boring. Welcome to the era of Trump/Putin/Xi/Kim. Welcome to the 21st Century.
