Afternoon all. Got here a little late, but this is just my take on the topic.

It seems logical that there are three possibilities regarding the “n”-word issue:

1. The two gentlemen never heard it, and lied about it.
2. The two gentlemen heard it, and are telling the truth.
3. The two gentlemen heard something, but not that word.

Number 1 seems unlikely, to say the least. These are, from what I’ve heard and read, honorable men, and there’s no logical reason for them to lie.

Number 3 is possible I suppose. But it seems highly unlikely that both gentlemen heard the same thing, and both misinterpreted it the same way.

Number 2 is both highly likely, and I’d bet is what happened.

So, for myself, I’m going with Number 2. And whoever yelled that word at those two gentlemen is despicable.
