So far the GOP thinks it just has to massage its message. But you can’t put lipstick on that pig. They can still be a conservative party, but they can’t be a racist, homophobic party and win. It could turn around quickly with the right candidate; the Democrats looked hapless from 72-88, then Bill Clinton emerged and they recaptured the Center.

Precisely. Stop listening to idiots like Limbaugh, Beck, and company would help. They need a Clinton like figure. Someone young and without the dogmatic approach to social issues. Despite what they believe about my generation, we’re not turned off by their economic views by and large, it’s the social views.
