If this bill really does say that life begins at fertilization, can a pregnant woman get benefits treating the embryo as a child? Are they going to begin to count miscarriages as deaths— and since we know a lot of miscarriages go undetected, they’ll have to add in an unknown but significant number of deaths, too.

Are they going to do any of these things that would signify they really believe life begins at conception, or are they just going to stick with the “We believe this in so far as it means that women should be forced to bear children, and not in any other way”?
