What’s insane is the idea that the kind of amoral psychopathic personality that might cynically pretend to be a racist would shy away from enacting actual racist policies just to stay in power once power is attained. Hypothetically Trump can not be a racist per se and still not give a fuck about minority health and safety, along with anyone else’s for that matter. Minorities might just be the most easily positioned pawns in whatever game he thinks he’s playing, and while his whipping up sentiment against them could be entirely cynical and disingenuous it would still be absolutely monstrous and inexcusable.
