Trump/Bannon are actually hoping for another large-scale terrorist attack just so they can crack down on everyone.

When you look at the swiftness and broadness of the “Muslim ban”, combined with Bannon being installed to the NSC and made more important and influential than the fucking Director of National Intelligence and the CJCS, you see that the pump is being primed exactly for the scenario you describe. Because, then, under pretense of “national security” as a “wartime President”, Trump (or, rather, Bannon, who’s coming to be the real power behind the throne, even more so than Kushner) can basically suppress the types of large-scale protests we’ve seen since he took office and head off any other means of dissension or opposition (see the re-election filing on Inauguration Day that basically just kneecapped any opposition from any non-profit orgs, such as Democratic PACs, PP, and others opposed to Trump and the GOP, for the next four years under pain of losing their IRS non-profit status for “electioneering”).

Trump, Bannon, and Co. are moving with a quickness to consolidate power; goddamn, this is so fucking bad.
