The NFL has rejected an advertisment a veterans group wanted to run in this year’s Super Bowl program.

Saw an interview with the national director of this group. He declared that “Our First Amendment rights are being violated.”
Er, no. There is no constitutional right to the forum of your choice, let alone to force a private organization to provide it. This stupid misconception seems to be everywhere. A friend of mine used to be president of the local ACLU. He said he spent a big part of his time explaining to various idiots that opposition and disagreement did not in fact violate their rights and that not all forms of discrimination (against conspiraliars for example) were illegal.
