I’m not so sure. I remember learning about Revolutionary Times in which different Founding Fathers basically used their own newspapers for propaganda purposes.

I’m not sure it’s change all that much.

I did not say that all journalism was like that, but I seem to recall a time when journalistic integrity and a repuation for balanced, well-documented reporting were a lot more important than they are nowadays.
