I agree that in an ideal world there should be civil discourse.
However, the people who need to be convinced of a particular point of view are not the loud loony left or the loud loony right. It is the rest of America (who I dub middle road America) who get their news from People Magazine, TMZ, National Enquirer etc.

While the left was screaming Bush= Hitler and the right was going “tsk tsk..look how loony they look” the Middle road America was hearing the message “bush = Hitler and the Right lost elections Big Time.

So, taking a lesson from the left, the right is becoming vociferous.
Yes the meeting on Health care have been disruptive and met with angry voices from the right. But guess what?… Being angry and loud evidently works. Being in your face and using Obama/Chicago/ACORN tactics works. The Dem’s and the hectare bill were reeling and the Dem’s were running scared.
Is there Hyperbole?…sure. But to sit there and say I don’t care what they do as long as our side doenst do it is simply suicide.
If someone was engaging me in fisticuffs and then drew .41 GLock on me I would be left with two choices. Run for my life or draw my own gun (hopefully of higher caliber but at least something to return fire with.) Standing there waving my fists is simply going to get me killed.

I know this is not the politically correct viewpoint on this blog but hey…its what I think.
