I feel for you trying to recover stuff off of a dead flash drive. I tell everyone to save important stuff on at least 2 drives, one of which should be mechanical.

I’m still kicking myself for selecting “move” rather than “copy”. If I had done the latter the data would still be on a laptop hard drive, or at worst in the recycle bin and easily recoverable if I had deleted right afterwards.

But no… I trusted a working device and tried to be efficient! :p
