The phone company tells me this laughable “broadband lite” (it’s about as good as dialup on good days) is the best I can get due to equipment limits. My nearest neighbor (about 1/16 of mile away if that) has full broadband and can stream movies and everything.

I now know what “end of the line” really means…

You could probably pay through the nose to get them to extend the lines to your residence. And when I say “pay through the nose,” I mean it; our company is going through this in trying to get fiber run to our office building. It’s literally right across the train tracks from the end of the run, but of course, that run is exorbitantly expensive.
