Well, that IS weird….and we’re all (on both sides) quite wary of someone who pops up claiming “I’m a republican, BUT” or “I’m a liberal, BUT” or whatever. And rightly so. Some of the people doing that are definitely trolls.

On the other hand, there is no denying that the GOP lost a lot of people recently—or maybe they just stayed home in November. So I have to think that some portion of people saying “I’m a republican, BUT—” on some of these shows were telling the truth.
