Most bees can sting you repeatedly—only honey bees die after stinging. Some species of wasps die after stinging once.

Here’s a tip for the upcoming warm weather:
Keep pieces of papaya peel in your freezer. If you get stung by a bee or wasp, hold a piece of the papaya skin against the sting area. The papain enzyme will neutralize the venom resulting in almost immediate relief. Also, plain Adolph’s Meat Tenderizer made into a paste with water has the same effect since papain is the main ingredient.
