Woops! Got my “M” states confused. The grandmother had legal custody of the child, not the mother. If the child had lived in Georgia for six months, Georgia had jurisdiction over him.

Living in Worcester County the father would have filed in Worcester Court, but if the child lived in GA for 6 months Worcester should have sent the case there. Here in MA they do look out for the children, but also grant liberal visitation to the non-custodial parent. I imagine after the DNA test Dad went in and gave the judge a sob story about how he was denied access to the child because he wasn’t named on the birth certificate. But I have to wonder why he tried for any visitation at all if this is what he was capable of doing. Anyhow, I hope the inmates at Walpole(MCI-Cedar Junction) give him his due.
