I believe the RNC is saying that only candidates who are polling at at least 5% will be allowed at the debates, so the field will be winnowed down substantially right there. Whether or not they officially drop out of the race or not they will be essentially done.

Yeah, but then they’d have to eliminate Carly from the debates, and that won’t play well into their latest narrative about being “strong supporters of women and womankind.”

It’s a puzzlement!
