This is the kind of thing these bullshit religious “liberty” laws do.

They’re not religious liberty laws; they’re Evangelical/Catholic Privilege laws.

Easy way to prove it:

Catholic doctor and nurse at Mt Sinai refuse to participate in an abortion (even if it’s medically necessary, and the woman and fetus both die because it wasn’t done) — can’t be fired, their religious conscience supersedes hospital policy or medical ethics.

Jewish doctor and nurse at St Mary’s hospital perform an abortion (because it’s medically necessary, and the woman and fetus will both die because if it isn’t done) — fired instantly, hospital policy supersedes their religious conscience and medical ethics.
