She ignores that a house which costs $150k in San Antonio costs $500k here in San Diego.

Property costs here will always mean not everyone will be able to live here. Including companies.

But why would it be that houses cost so much more in CA? There’s plenty of unbuilt land in CA, and lumber can be shipped back and forth pretty cheaply.

The high cost of housing in CA cannot be explained by reference to physical constraints. Bad policy remains as an explanation.
