The key phrase is “…never to delete books like this again.”

It’s possible amazon.com might have to delete those books (possible copyright issues such as in this instance), but I figure that they’d do so after making every effort to inform the users of the reasons and timing for the deletions, and to make every effort to make the customers whole.

Why don’t they just tell us HOW they will handle this in the future, if it needs to be handled. What is going to be the NEW procedure that will handle the possibility that is “not like this?”
