Being prescribed vicodin, percocet, even dilaudid in no way prevents people from purchasing firearms. The situation involves prescriptions and prescriptions do not equate to “being under the influence” at the time of purchase, pick up, transport or operation.

The difference being that those substances are legal with a prescription under federal law while marijuana is not.
