Growing up in the 80s in the metro Detroit area, the Chaldeans and the Muslim had weird love-hate relationships. The Chaldeans were largely bigoted against Muslims, but then found camaraderie in each other because most were from the Middle East.
Chaldeans were also the main beneficiaries of Saddam’s rule as well. Didn’t a Chaldean church in Detroit award a city key to Saddam during the 80s?
