Georgia has been invaded by Russia before, and Russia has shown a willingness to invade its neighbors to further its agenda. Russia engaged in cyberwarfare to further its efforts and misinformation campaigns are all part of the Russian efforts against the West.

Adding Georgia to NATO would provide more stability and reduce chances that Russia takes overt actions against Georgia or Ukraine. It would further constrain Russia’s objectives and limit their options.
