You know I feel the same conflict that I do with Jeffersonians/Hamiltonians that I do with J.Q Adams/Andrew Jackson. I love Jackson’s style and attempts to make American society more egalitarian albeit for white men only. At the same time, I love Adams’ abolitionism and support for national improvements. All very strange.
