re: #261 Aunty Entity Dragon

I have no idea if you are in the GOP or not. I merely observed you engaging in a defense of said party…claiming the opinions of some members are normative of some types of Republicans while ignoring the activities of others, ergo relegating them as non members.

I said (once again: for the cheap seats) that they are strategically insane. All the shit that comes out of their mouths is made up, snake oil for the rubes. They believe maybe 5% of it. I am not certain in what world this constitutes “defense of the GOP”. This was in context of a discussion about legislative outcomes in a hypothetical unicameral body which is a fairly fantastical world already so maybe in such a world it is defense of the GOP. I don’t know.

And are you claiming that Timothy McVeigh and a median GOP House member are equally representative of the GOP? Seriously? I don’t even…

re: #266 Dr. Matt

Do you know why Moore joined the NRA? hint: because he thought he could become president of the NRA and then dismantle it. DERP

Ronny Raygun fired 11,000 union members in 1981. DERP x2

Do you really want to use this line of “debate”?

The story I heard (maybe it was in Downsize This, maybe Columbine, I dunno?) was that he was an NRA member from childhood. It doesn’t actually matter because it appears that you agree with me that “Such-and-such was a so-and-so!” is not a meaningful argument to make. I am, frankly, unsure why you are responding to me since I made the same argument you seem to be making.
