This gets me on first read of this story:

Forced way into apartment. How would this be reported if it were “Middle America”? I think we all know. Castle doctrine okay for me but not for thee? Warrant/Probable cause for going there in the first place? Backup?

The Castle doctrine does not apply when dealing with law enforcement officers who identify themselves as such, nor does Stand Your Ground.
