Truly enjoying the logic of some of the gun absolutists.

There’s already laws preventing gun running from lax states to strong law states, so writing new laws that make it illegal is redundant.

Right, and doing nothing to close those loopholes will perpetuate the existing condition.

Oh, 100 million gun owners, and we’re not all criminals.

100,000 people are shot every year. 30,000 die (20k are suicides) Considering that works out to - 1 out of 1,000 people who own guns uses them and injures someone. Not nearly as uncommon once you start running numbers.

That’s one out of 1,000 each year. For a man with a fifty-year adult life, which is a bit shorter than US life expectancy, that would be almost a one in 20 chance of injuring someone with a gun.
