Honestly I wouldn’t necessarily be surprised if he passes in the next year or so. It’s not uncommon among folks who have been married for 50+ years to both pass within about a year. Sure, by that point they are of similar age which makes it more likely, but grief is also a stressor on the body.

My parents were born 8 days apart and died a year and 8 days apart. (They only made it to 48 years of marriage0 because, duh, they died)
