my classes at the local JC are like that…. but i’m encouraging a rebellion in my English Composition class against the “Nickel & Dimed in America” calumny, and my law class has come to a grinding halt because the usual suspects don’t know what to do with dissent besides shout it down or ignore it.

Barbara (…however the hell you spell her last name…Ehrenreich?) irritates me. I read Nickel and Dimed and found her methods to be suspect. She put far too many restrictions on her actions so that she basically proved the point she wanted to make before she even started her indulgent experiment. Typical.
