The only time you should worry about the GPS unit in a car is if it’s a rental car: [Link: archives.cnn.com…]

Well, one of my moonbat friends insists that all new cars are seekritly being equipped with user-inaccessible, hidden GPS devices to allow “them” to follow drivers wherever they go. The technology, according to him, was developed for the Chinese by “them” (= US = evil American corporations) - as chips embedded in Chinese ID cards that tell the Chink authorities where every body (literally) is at all times. According to my source, the penalty for throwing away or disabling your Chinese GPS-equipped ID is life in prison.

Natch, I googled it and found nothing to support this paranoid ideation. But I’ll bet you dollars to Chinese doughnuts that the “right” believes the same stuff.
