If we’re going to say Never Again and mean it, we have to recognize where it starts and stop it before people suffer. We do that, IMO, by not supporting rouge regimes like Cuba, Iran or Gaza. We put the crunch on them economically until they disintegrate from within.

Well, I’m with you up until the last sentence. The crunch has been on, and they have not disintegrated; they elected Hamas. I’m not saying we were wrong to ‘crunch’, but that they will not necessarily collapse from within because of economic conditions. Look at North Korea. And that collapse does mean huge, huge amounts of suffering amongst the population, many of whom have simply been fed an enormous diet of bullshit propaganda from age one.

I don’t have an alternate solution, though, except moving away from oil so that we can defund the Islamic states.
