Conservative Christians are capable as anyone else of being normal, rational people, yes.

Like many of them are so quick to preach at everyone else, it’s a matter of lifestyle choice.

I am Christian and in many ways conservative, I’m in Australia so I can’t speak of the US with authority. However I have many friends who I would consider as conservative Christian’s they don’t behave the way you paint us.

If I wanted a motto about them, it would be ‘its not about what you have but what you have given’.

I hear what you say about conservative Christians, but I suggest its a minority.
