Ahhh, but they say that’s the only way it ‘lives’. Aside from that, you have to know exactly what the words meant WHEN THEY WERE WRITTEN and hold to that interpretation forever. So ‘freedom of religion’ means ‘freedom to worship ANY Christian branch—and MAYBE Judaism’, and ‘right to bear arms’ means ‘if they could afford it, any random citizen could have someone build them an aircraft carrier and full complement of aircraft’. I’m honestly surprised someone hasn’t at least tried to violate the National Firearms Act and get it overturned, what with the current hard-on for ‘shall not be infringed’ extending to SCOTUS…

Actually the “when they were written” for religion includes Islam. (called Mohammedism). I find that hilarious.
