If you’re not comfortable voting for a minority candidate than chances are you probably aren’t:
comfortable with a minority being friends with your kids
comfortable with a minority marrying your child
comfortable with minorities living in your neighborhood
comfortable with a minority being your supervisor
comfortable with a minority having the same rights as you do.

Racism does transcend class which is exactly why Bernie’s apologia for working class racism sucks.

Bingo. And his caveat in the article assuming that these voters will have an easier time of voting for a minority in later elections is pure naivete. If they have an issue now, just what makes him think they’ll somehow ‘come to Jesus’ later out of the goodness of their genuine hearts?
