They certainly should view the situation with rising concern. They’d better watch the “contempt” part, though. Obama wants to disengage the U.S. from the world. That’s his policy. And he doesn’t give two sh*** in a hot tin bucket that it leaves our longtime allies exposed, or that they feel contempt for him. He feels contempt for them, and he’s the President of the U.S. They should be very, very afraid, not contemptuous.
