Wal Mart is also, somewhat ironically, the largest known corporate donor to the Center For American Progress that runs internet sites like Think Progress and Media Matters. I always wondered what Wal Mart gets for its donation money but they don’t seem to care much about the bad publicity from Think Progress that they help fund. Walmart is well connected to DC insiders and blog posts on the internet don’t hurt them at all.
