Looked cool and went like a bat out of hell.

It wasn’t stock.

My brother had one which had been highly touched. It was competition orange in color with white and black metal flake rolled and pleated custom upholstery interior, headliner, trunk and some of the material replacing the metal trim “sweep” of the rear fenders.

And air conditioned (aftermarket) with an 8-track tape!

It was a show car for a local custom upholstery shop that did some nice 60s era hot rods. I think it was about ‘67 when my brother had the car.

Funny. 10 year old ‘57 Chevy considered a ‘classic old car’ in 1967.

It had a 327 fuel injected engine that was built by Miles and Gellner Engineering out of Cleveland. That engine was so damn noisy my father used to get pissed off at my brother because it shook the house when he pulled into driveway.
