It was bad enough in 1861-5 but with us as a global power in several ways, I don’t even want to think about it but I do fear we get more divided each year.

We’re divided but if it ultimately means the end, I don’t think it will be via shooting war. For one, the Feds have all the fire power. And I don’t see three percenters storming the local Air Force Base to get B-2 bombers being very successful. Same goes for when the cannons on Abrams tanks are pointed at them.

Beyond that, this is far from the first time we’ve been divided in this country. In fact, we’ve been divided for most of our history.
