And that assumes that the crucial evidence was collected in the first place. If the Sanford PD was treating this as SYG from the outset, evidence collection may have been far more limited than if we were talking about a standard criminal investigation (which is part of the reason why the law enforcement was so against this in the first place - it hampers law enforcement investigations).
