agreed. it’s a special kind of mean. and i don’t mean that in a good way.

Yeah I mean like, if you squint turn your head and maybe do some drugs, you can sort of understand where the 9/11 hijackers were coming from. Not that you can agree with them, but you can follow the thought process of how they were acting out of religious zeal and a few other things.

That doesn’t excuse what they did, but it does mean that we can at least comprehend how people end up the way they do.

But someone who sets a cat on fire and watches it burn to death…. I just can’t even begin to figure out how their mind might work to make them do something like that.

Not to say burning one cat to death makes them “worse” than killing several thousand people just more “other” and “unatural” if you will……
