Even though you technically don’t need a lot of money to run for office, the fact is that if you want to be President, you’d better have money. LOTS of money. The White House is simply an unobtainable goal for someone who is not worth multiple millions.

It’s very rare for these guys to fund their own campaigns. One of the reasons I don’t donate to political campaigns is it just seems absurd for me to send money to millionaires.
