Counterfeit is not necessarily “fake” though.

The problem with buying any product is testing the delivered product to make sure it performs as specified.

An item may perform for what you initially tested, even if it did not use the exact part as specified.

The long term problem comes in often with reliability, or accuracy, or safety, etc.

But these things are far too complex for Trump.

Also possibly a violation of the “Buy American” requirements of defense contracts too.
