If you watch closely, you’ll see odd little anachronisms; for instance, the old Atari logo and a flash of a scene with a holographic ballerina that says the word “Soviet”. I’m thinking (just speculating here) that all takes place in an alternate 2049, 30 years after the original Blade Runner took place in an alternate 2019, which means that the USSR is likely still around and Atari is too. Again, I’m just speculating.
