Sorry, I disagree. I think Romney is a politician above all, which means he’s cautious. I think he really believed it, which is why he said it with such conviction, because he thought all Obama could do was to mumble something about words. I think he was genuinely taken aback by Obama’s blunt refutation, and poleaxed by the moderator agreeing.
