It is conventionally regarded as the best restaurant in America. I’m not actually sure how easy it is to just call up and get a reservation, without knowing someone, even if you do call sixty days in advance.
I never knew that the property used to house a more low-key restaurant. I knew it used to be a saloon, a brothel, and a French laundry at various times in its history.

It was the Yountville Cafe…It was never a brothel when I was a kid and the Saloon was just north across the street..
