When I moved back to IN I got a nice flat right downtown. It was a great place. The night of July 3 I noticed people starting to fill up the downtown area around 10pm. What I didn’t know was they have a Midnight Parade the morning of the 4th. 4 straight hours of sirens from every podunk town within 30 miles that has a volunteer fire dept. The next year I spent the night in a hotel.

We have a great 4th of July parade, but it’s in the daytime, like normal people do.
