I usually tune out any partisan source that leads off a story with “So-and-so CRUSHES Obama” or “so-and-so DESTROYS Trump.”

Americans seem to love instant gratification: miracle diets, overnight get-rich-quick schemes, and of course polls and predictions that give us election outcomes months in advance.
