British constitutional law always confuses me … but from what I know, this is exactly right (Parliament would need to approve Brexit). If you’re one of the Brexiteers who shouts about the vital importance of absolute parliamentary sovereignty, you can’t claim that a popular referendum should override the will of Parliament.
