I’d say around 20 years ago, RFK Jr. had a mildly entertaining AM talk show called Ring of Fire. But even then he was talking about vaccines, just not the full-throated antivaxxer stance he takes now, but you could see the genesis of it. Personally, I’m fascinated by the descent of people down these rabbit holes. It certainly affects a lot of people, but why not me? When I was younger I was far more open to conspiracy theories and listened to people like Bo Gritz on LEFTY stations in Los Angeles. But as the years go on, I’m less and less susceptible to conspiracy theories and calls to Burn it All Down™

So what broke RFK Jr? What broke all these Trumpers? Can it be fixed?
