I’ll be honest, I believe in equal rights but I actually don’t quite get why gays insist on getting married-married. I’ve figured that the difference between a legal union and a marriage is that one is done in court while the other is done in a religious institution - and while I support full-rights legal unions I don’t understand why gays would follow up on that to get married when it’s clear that religion clearly does not consider them even human.
Someone here, perhaps Iceweasel, pointed me to a large body of laws spread through the state and Fed governments, that mark real-world things happen only on the condition of ‘marriage’.
