Uganda’s anti-gay leader wants to come to Texas to get sympathetic investors to send money to his country (which means eventually to him and his party), but some of the better Texas hotels don’t want the hot potato:

I’m surprised that Perry didn’t invite Museveni to stay with him.

One the better hotels needs to step up: Uganda is too important an ally in Africa to serve its head of state a snub.

And its a good thing he’s visiting Texas, too. Too many foreign leaders only see Washington DC and New York City. They need to actually see ‘flyover country’ in order to understand the United States. Of course, they may be terrified of what they see there, but that’s another story…
